i'd like to know why many of the boxing writers here in the UK are hyping him to be the best thing since dairylea, iv caught a handful of his recent fights and he's hard to determine how good the boy actually is, the thing that stands out most to me is that most of the fighters hes been in with have extremely poor KO percentages, i dunno what to make of him.

He didn't look great against Jennings, which was as much due to Michael's elusiveness as Kell not knowing how to deal with it. He seems a little average though. Talented, but I'm not getting the sense of confidence and quality that say DeGale or Groves show.

kell Brook is the type of fighter that is very special. the fact that he aint even been in a fight yet is creadence to his skill n power, that is why all the boxing writers here in the UK' who last year' voted him boxer of the year' rate him very highley' and they very rareley get it wrong. the problem with kell is the level of opponents he is being given. not his fault' he can only fight whot is put in front of him' he wants to fight the best. ie pac man / khan / malanaggi . seems he wants a name and dont care who it is.

No it's not, it's down to the fact that he has only fought about 3 fighters with a pulse.
He has fought a long list of feather fisted journeymen and got dropped by one of those.

He has made noticeable improvements in recent fights and has quick hands, but his power is nothing special at all and his footwork is poor. He is upright and leans back when defending instead of moving away and slipping shots.

I think he is being heavily overrated but would like to be proven wrong.

I'm not impressed so far, but would like to be!

Hopefully he steps it up a bit and we can all get behind him with confidence.

BROOK CAN FIGHT, have no fear on that, if you were a boxer, would you be clambering to fight him,? he's not quite a big enough name yet for the elite to take a risk with, he's a hard punching top world prospect, who will collect a real world title soon.

he's quality, he does desperately need a name on his record though, Malignaggi would be an ok fight but with Hatton and Khan stopping him already maybe best to not bother.

who do you guys wanna see him in with?

I would be fine with malignaggi. he `clearly fulfills the feather fisted thing brook requires and would be a very big step up and we could gauge his actual ability.

i also think he is very overrated and havent seen anything too impressive yet

Quote"but his power is nothing special at all and his footwork is poor. He is upright and leans back when defending instead of moving away and slipping shots.

Maybe he can box this level of opponent in that manner' and does so to draw the lead' one thing i have noted is when they feel the power they go into there shell' and dont want to fight' biennis' jennings' this kids footwork is brill' look at them when he plants them on the attack' dont forget he trained with naz hamed + johnny nelson+ ryan rhoads + junior whitter ect in the the ingles jim from an 8y old. nas said he will beat pac/man.HIs praises are massive. if he aint a great hope Who else apart from degayle' has it to be special.
big up kell till proven wrong.
