First, I DO NOT know what the man is going through and how he is feeling, but from what ive gathered it seems like signs of depression. I just dont want to read on the site that he took his life one day. I hope he works out his situation and demons.

    True...

    Hope it's not coming...

He just spit on tons of cash...
    Spit on Top Rank...
How does he think the big pay days are gonna come now?:verysad

But at the same time...maybe he is just not mentally fit to fight.
We don't want to see another McCall (I know i'm reaching but...)

I agree. Hopkin's sucked the essence out of Pavlik. Ripped out his heart and stomped on it.

If Kelly Pavlik doesn't want to box anymore that is on him. He was set up to win an easy fight and on a path to fight Lucian Bute which would be a winnable fight for him and he blew it. He's done.

Guys aren't the same after fighting Hopkins. Mercado disappeared. Taylor got progressively worse and now gets knocked out everytime he steps into the ring. Winky Wright disappeared. Tito got fat and depressed. Calzaghe became a coke addict. Now Pavlik is an alcoholic and it looks like his career might be over at 29. I fear for Pascal and Dawson.

He is out of his goddamn mind. He could easily make over a million dollars and he turns it down?! People work their whole lives saving to make a million dollars. Even if you consider taxes he'd still take home 10 years worth of ordinary guy salary. He's ducking out like a coward.

Well he's currently going through a bottle of Jack Daniels and a case of Miller...

yeah. I'm betting he fell off the wagon and wouldn't be surprised to hear in a few weeks he being readmitted to rehab. But honestly, he would probably benefit a lot from moving as far away as possible from Youngstown, he's too well known and liked there. Somewhere else would do him good.

The Bute fight was set depending on a Pavlik WIN Saturday, correct?

Now, imagine the worst, and Pavlik will have taken an L for $50,000.....and that's it, no Bute fight.

Also look at like this, he was getting a 2 fight deal for 1.3 or whatever the hell it is.

Makes me sick as of right now, many things I don't yet understand, but I feel those points are being overlooked by everybody so far.

This is why Hopkins should retire. Not because hes getting old or is becoming punch drunk.

I hope Pascal and Dawson have something in plan outside of boxing

If Pavlik is worried about losing to Darryl Cunningham, then that's really troubling.

The problem is pulling out of Saturday's fight doesn't help him. All he did was **** off Showtime, Top Rank, Dunkin, and I'm sure even HBO is a little weary of him due to his recent penchant for pulling out of fights.

And really....the chances of Cunningham beating Pavlik was extremely minimal.

    **** happens though sometimes, no?

And if it did, talk about bein' in the shitter, and with NONE (or very little) or that 1,3 everybody's talkin' about.

Well, Top Rank was opposed to him taking a tuneup, that was Pavlik and his team's idea. So why would he take one for only 50k and then randomly back out of it? It's not like he was oblivious to the details of his deal until last night.
