:dead I hope you boxing purists are all happy  http://www.vindy.com/news/2009/mar/25/pavlik-excited-about-abraham-fight/?newswatch
im glad and im irish . duddy needs to drop to 154 which i think he is doing in his next fight . he is too small for middleweight and i think he could pick up a strap in the 154 division
Burns is good for Duddy. He will keep him at 154 for a while I'm sure. Duddy would be a more competitive fight with Burns in his corner though.
:think Duddy is the one who just escaped the beating.. He's got average skills but the best chin in boxing which means he will lose on wide UD...
average skills? maybe, but i think his skills are improving nicely though, he's a work in progress, besides....Pavliks' no Guzman himself, give Duddy a year or 2 and he'd school both Pavlik and Abraham, but just remember... you heard it hear 1st :good
I must admit he is improving. He looked better against Vanda than he did at any other time during his career.
Watching Burns in his corner may have been the most interesting part of the fight. Telling him he was doing well with his "anger management". CLASSIC!
We have been telling Vincent there would be no Duddy fight for MONTHS! Guy just doesn't listen. 154 is the right division for John. He can pick up some kind of title there, and have a nice profitable career defending it at MSG and in Ireland.
The weird thing about boxing is... For some reason the promoters don't want to see a White Vs. White guy or Black Vs. Black guy (US fighter's) Maybe it's because the well is so dry, they don't want to waste them fighting. but they will make the others kill each other. Then feed them the carcass of a once proud fighter.
This is surely some form of sarcasm correct? Kind of like when I hype up Kermit Cintron as a threat at 147...right?
