you call that doing something. so how many times did he defend the titles he won outside of 135?

duran was washed up by 1980 after no mas. he won a title in 1984 against davey moore, and another title in 1988 by beating barkley. he wasnt dominant or even competitive in the division. duran by the time he won the title in 1988 he was a sideshow freak losing to everybody.

Ten years past his best and four weight divisions North of his best weight.

but the duran dead heads mention it like he won the triple crown or something. duran by 1984 was finished. after tommy koed him he went 4 years before winning another title. and then didnt defend it.

Duran didn't just struggle, he lost to much lesser fighters than Mayweather, so what does that say??

Floyd has ducked his biggest threat for five years. Duran went out of his way to face all comers.

Any one of Duran's three best exceeds anything that Floyd has done so far.

The two men can't be seriously compared at this point, and if Floyd continues to fight his current level of competition, never will be.

 

duran wasnt the man he had to face leonard, herans, hagler, and benitez for money. he could have been the man if he had beat sugar ray in the rematch, but he quit so there it is he was not the man, and not a fighter good enough to beat floyd.

 

atsch Duran has one of the best defences in boxing history. He's a defensive minded pressure fighter, Probably the greatest defensive pressure fighter in history. His defence was integrated with his offence. He wasn't like Floyd who's more a back foot defensive master. Hagler, Leonard, Palomino, and Barkley have all spoke of how hard Duran was to hit clean. He was brilliant at blocking, parrying and ducking punches. He also had a brilliant nack of moving his head back to take the sting out shots he knew were landing. Duran had great body reflexes and a great brain. He employed offence and defence at the same time.

I once had a ***** tell me Duran doesn't have great defence he just has great head movements atsch That's like saying Floyd doesn't have great defence he just has a great shoulder roll
