This needs to be cleared up about silva vs sonnen.

Are people forgetting that Sonnen rocked Silva twice in this fight.

Are they forgetting he pounded on his head and took him down tme and time again for four and half ****ng rounds.

I hate Excuses and feel Silva is overated by some fans as he is a great striker and great with Subs but he if really faced a decent wrestler he struggles big time.

 

IMO sonnen just "caught" silva first and landed a couple more free shots when silva was still buzzed (it might look like it, but silva really got rocked on the first one) and worked on silva non-stop when he got the full-guard position... from there on, it was all downhill from silva until the later part of round 5.

if they get the rematch, silva IMO will still be the safe bet...

...but what's important is that now we know what sonnen is capable to do to him

 

he was still buzzed even after he got up...his eyes were a little glassy

...luckily he had a sturdy chin to endure that much damage
