And vice versa. Notice though how Roy Hodgson made no effort to 'lure' Adnan Januzaj?

Also I think it's Cook the taekwando lad wo didn't gt picked for Team GB so decided to represent the Isle of Man? This happens everywhere with whoever is suits often making the drag move.

Britain,Germany,France etc all do it,athletes themselves do it. Whats the issue?

That's because januzaj wasn't eligible and anyone with a half a brain knew it, if he was England would have sent a team of negotiaters to get him

Before the last Olympics British officials approached Katie Taylor to try ad get her to box for Britain because she was the gold medel favourite now that was disgraceful

Januzaj would have been through residency at a point in time. Anyone with half a brain knew that. Fact is we didn't even try-was that respectable or just the norm?

An approach-wow shocking behaviour. Do you have any idea how many counties scour sports people's backgrounds to try and find legitimate ways of enticing them? All countries with the resource, every one.
Scotland even announced they were doing it for the good of thier footy team.
Accept it,Britain is no better nor worse than te rest if the Uk,Ireland,Europe, the world.

    He wasn't eligible idiot

And the fact that you see these kind of a approaches as acceptable show your a British scumbag and have no sense of national pride or decentcy

How would you have liked if Ireland approached, Wayne Rooney ,Paul scholes, rio Ferdinand and they decided to play for Ireland(for financial gain ) rather than the country they should be playing for

Shows why the whole world sees your athletes as a group of paid mercenaries rather than an actual representation of britian

I'm certain he doesn't give a **** about what some guys on the internet think he is. Matthew Macklin is Irish because he wants to be considered Irish. That is the long and the short of it.

There is a big Irish community in and around around Birmingham. He was born into that community. He mates would have come from Irish homes, engaged in Irish customs. He went there every Easter, summer, Christmas and half term at school and embraced Irish sports (I've never seen it verified that he played underage with Tipperary but he certainly loved it and still does. To be good enough to play for a club, any club ain't something that just happens.

He went to Germany and they played the Irish Anthem before the fights that wasn't for an American audience. He doesn't have to prove his Irishness to anyone. He just is. If he chose to associate greater with Britain, like Frankie Gavin, then that is ok too.

What is for certain is that it isn't for anyone other than himself to make that call. Others can offer their opinion.... But it is worthless.

Without a doubt the most sensible post on this issue.

He would have been in a couple of years.

Idiot, scumbag,no pride and no sense of national pride...wow
All that from a few posts? Those comments say more about you and your issues with British people more than my points on wha happens say about me.

I may not like the 'adoption'of sports people and would much prefer 'home' talent but I do accept it happens. You can't,that's not my problem despite your country being just as guilty. Andy Townsend,Ray Houghton and Tony Cascarino to name a few...

**** off Terry. Stick to the trolling threads. It's pretty obvious to all you're of limited intelligence. Don't be embarrassing yourself by coming to play with the big boys.
