I love Wlad but it'd be more exciting if he brought back some of those old offensive tendancies. To be honest, a great offense is often your best defense: if mother****ers were so worried about his arsenal being unloaded they wouldn't have time or opportunity to measure him for a bomb. They'd be running and ducking the whole time. He could keep his current, superior jab to set up the combos and keep some distance to protect the chin but fights would end MUCH quicker.

 

Grant it, he would be much more exciting, but he wouldn't be more effective. 90% of the time Wlad wont have any problem dismantling his oppenent, but theres always that 10% like Brewster and Peter, who can take your best shots and still be standing, as well as land there own big bombs in the process.

His new style, while not very exciting, betters his chance in not losing to someone with a great chin and power. I'm almost positive the 02-03 version would of lost to the Peter that he fought in 05, he would of not known how to combat Peters attack. Clinching was something Wlad rarely did before Steward got ahold of him.

 

Well, Swann, this saturday will not be perfect as Wladimir will win. Dont be suicidal though. You can always go to your favorite gay bar and swizzle man juice until you feel better.

 

Some hate European fighters to the extreme, and I do mean hate. They are so prejudiced it is an insult to humanity. Compare Vlad's KO ratio with Mayweather's and then Vitali's KO ratio is the best in boxing! Very exciting indeed.
