All i know is That there's enough of them who kick off for it to be noticeable. At the lg they caused a mini riot and at the echo. At the lg the ring announcer even said they should be ashamed. Of course not all of them are ****s, but there's enough blues dickheads chanting blues **** and Zulus before anyone kicks off for security to step in and nip it in the bud
The thing is I agree with most of what you're saying, maybe im blinded by my own bias and being friendly with alot of the lads being branded arseholes and what not, I can only comment on my own experiences and knowledge of them lot and theyve never done me no harm. I suppose comparisions could be made to another Birmingham based fighter who himself was indirectly hindered by the massive Blues support he attracted back in the 90's.
Refresh my memory on that fighter please! I'm sure a lot of the lads you know are sound, it's just that a riot attributed to frankie fans is hard to go unnoticed!
I was referring to when it kicked off at the NIA between Blues and Man City fans when Robert Mcracken fought Steve Foster. Mcracken was virtually blackballed by Sports Network after that, which is a shame because given the right push and backing with the ability he had he may well have achived much more than he did. To a degree the reputation of Blues fans preceeds us a bit and whilst I agree that theres no place for having mass kick-offs in the crowd at boxing I do think that the mere mention of it involving fans of Frankie Gavin allows it to get blown out of all proportion to a level that may not be the case with another fighter with raucous fans.
