Joshua would look like a fool there. This Usyk with this movement and slick defence would make Joshua miss all night long. I hope Usyk moves to HW after this.
Nobody doubts Usyk boxing skills at HW its about will his power be effective and can he take a heavyweight punch
He's taking the best shots from Gassiev as if they were jabs. He'd have no problem with Joshua's power. He wouldn't even be smart or quick enough to land flush because Usyk gives so many angles and craft in there.
No evidence at all that Joshua hits harder than Gassiev or Briedis. Joshua has 0 concussive knockouts (putting opponents to sleep). But Gassiev and Briedis do. So if Usyk can handle Briedis and Gassiev's power, then he can handle Joshua's. And if Usyk has enough power to affect both Gassiev and Briedis, then he also has enough power to affect Joshua too.
This. Usyk has the skill, but his lack of power would get him hurt. Also, Joshua is a better boxer than Gassiev. I knew Gassiev was going to get easily schooled. Joshua's feet aren't as slow as Gassiev's and Joshua has twice the power Gassiev has.
Usyk's movement would give Joshua problems no doubt, but can he overcome that size and reach and power. It's a fight I want to see, let's hope he moves up now, he's got nothing left to prove at Cruiser.
'Twice the power' based on what? You'd think someone with 'twice the power' would have actually knocked out least one opponent unconscious? Which Joshua never has! Go and watch Gassiev's KO over Jordan Shimmel and then come back and find me one KO that Joshua has, which is as brutal as that. And a 41 year old Wladimir Klitschko made Joshua look slow. You're overrated Joshua's speed here. Usyk would look just as fast, if not faster against Joshua than he did against Gassiev.
Whatever happens when Usyk moves up, he MUST work more on his power. He needs to get his respect vs. 240-270lbs guys, and more snap is necessary. Otherwise, his speed, stamina, skills, mobility and output makes AJ & Wilder look like junior plodding league.
