Oh before I sleep I'll touch on this. I highly disagree about Walters being better than anyone on TC's resume. Walters was a weight bully. He has one good win with a major asterisk. Nonito who basically was on record in 2013 saying he lost passion for boxing. He also lucked out with a cut or something against an African fighter post Rigo and then was losing on the cards to Darchinyan. Walters then moves up to 130 and looks absolutely mediocre against Sosa. Also comparing crude Sosa to Diaz is a bad comparison too. Diaz is a gold medalist and he absolutely sonned Sammy Vasquez. Sosa packed more of a punch but skillwise I don't think it's even comparable. As for people asking for the fight. It's irrelevant to the quality of the win. But yeah. That's my opinion on it. I'll respond tomorrow if you want to debate more.
Fair enough, I think TC can do well at WW, he is very skilled and versatile. He has the talent to get big wins at welterweight and I don't think he will be too small at welter, he has always rehydrated to a fair size. He won't be a big welter, but big enough imo.
that and salido is an old washed up glorified barroom brawler, that is harsh but at this stage in his career that's pretty much all he is. i have no doubt loma would win in the rematch. i give vasyl credit he is a very good fighter with a unique style and perplexing footwork, i don't think there is anyone in his weight class that can beat him.
Okay, so you obviously cannot explain why Floyd reached a critical severely dehydrated state after the weigh in which could have easily been remedied for drinking water. Gotcha.
You mean kinda like you can't explain why Pac turned down random blood testing to face PBF back in 2010 only to agree to that same type of testing to fight Rios years later? Agree to fight a punching bag in Rios but not to against the truth in PBF and a career high payday. Gotcha!
Pac gave Floyd everything that he requested --- top billing, first on the scale, first into the ring, name announced second, etc.. Then Pac agreed to testing, but the Mayweathers went on a public smear campaign and Pac put his foot down. He said he'd do any testing with a 24 day window at the END OF TRAINING CAMP, when no one juices because the benefits aren't there. You'll remember that Floyd was sued by Pac and lost and immediately settled the suit once Pac's lawyers sought to get Floyd's drug test results/contract. But you obviously cannot explain why Floyd reached a critical severely dehydrated state after the weigh in which could have easily been remedied for drinking water. Gotcha.
Let's keep this in perspective. After only 11 fights Loma has done some very remarkable things and he's challenging himself against the best, in or around his weight class. He's already a two division world champ and has dominated every single fight except for Salido. The Rig fight was a great performance against a p4p ranked boxer. Was he smaller? Absolutely, but we can't take away the fact that he completely schooled an elite level pugilist and didn't bully him with the weight differential. It was purely a skills match up where his style was a puzzle that Rig couldn't solve which ended up making the 2 time Olympic gold medalist and 122 lb world champion to quit on his stool. Loma is at a point where the unfair criticism becomes part of the territory.....A right of passage if you will. The more he wins and dominates against better opponents, the more detractors and hate he will garner. Like Floyd and Manny, they just continued to win and dominate during their prime years which I fully expect Loma to do
The way he dominated and made a consensus great fighter quit was truly remarkable. But, no, it was a no-win situation for Loma from the time he signed on for the fight. All he could do is what he did, absolutely dominate.
what did he move up? eight weight divisions? every athlete is on something, manny is one of the most obvious cases.
Wow, you just quoted what Loma said before he even took the fight. You are a reverse reader of the future........ I.e. you can see into the recent past..... Impressive, most impressive, but you are not a Jedi yet.
