I’m not saying this is Hearn’s fault, it absolutely isn’t. However, I resent him downplaying the significance of this, saying stuff like ‘these things happen’ and ‘the BBBoC checked them’ as if that is somehow ok. These things do not happen. There’s a procedure in place so that there are no questions or accusations and that the fighters are protected. Rivas’s team were denied the opportunity to check the gloves and weigh them. The BBBoC have made an epic howler here.

 

Dillian Whyte is such a phoney. I've knew it for ages. He's a con man who's full of crap.

His made up story post fight about Dan Aziz using his gloves (which is ludicrous as no way would an undercard fighter that low down be given the main event fighters gloves) is truly exposed here as Russ Anber confirms that Dan Aziz wasn't even using the gloves that were agreed to at the meeting.

We have Dillian on one hand lying that Dan Aziz was given his gloves, and then we have Eddie lying on another by saying the problem was Dillian's hands not fitting in the gloves.

 

This could put MR boxing under. Sky may throw the book at them over this.

 

I would love to hear what Adam Smith thinks about it all.

And replace them with who? Sky would have been involved as the plan was if he wasn’t licensed to go ahead as a non PPV show.

 

On the broader issues, Russ is a pawn, as proven by his recounting of the Wilder/Povetkin issue. On the glove situation he is forensic as he is the corner man witnessing every detail. His eyes are lit up when explaining it.

 

Why do I care? You think Sky are going to back a promo outfit that engages in openly corrupt practices and has the witnesses with clout to prove it?

 

And people still think Ruiz is coming here for all this? Muhahaha.

Hearn when questioned about the glove issue, ‘the BBBoC are lightyears ahead of other commissions when it comes to fighters safety, they have oxygen for every fight blah blah blah’. Hearn needs to stop deflecting this. Nobody is blaming him for the gloves issue so just say it how it is...the BBBoC massively messed up with their own procedures regarding the inspection of the gloves and the fighters safety.

 

Interest when he says had the bloke not noticed the gloves pre fight. There could have been a massive brawl in the ring over it
