Funny that cos Russ Anber in that vid said that's the first time in 40 years and you can imagine how many promoters it's happened.

 

Not just sanction the fight but then say you can’t check the gloves. I mean come on, it’s an absolute ducking joke.

Just listened to the full interview, indeed it requires a full investigation. Sounds like a reliable testimony and Whyte and Tibbs should be made to explain themselves.

Also picked up on an interesting quip when Russ was talking about what would have happened if the fight was pulled. He made a throwaway comment about Okolie standing in for the main event and that makes me think Hearn lined up Okolie v Riakhpore to “save the card” lmfao.

 

I'm looking forward to the BBbofC stetment on the matter, they're going to need some excuse as to why they let Whyte fight. The whole thing stinks.

 

Serious question (from an American): Would you, if you represented a highly-ranked fighter or champion from another county, at this point bring that fighter over to the UK for a major fight against a UK fighter? Knowing the commission can’t be trusted?

 

Nope. And that's what's going to be the big fall out from this, even if they weasel out of it legally and procedurally.

 

I'm not so sure, as guilty as they look now, the sport has always been so corrupt things tend to just move on and get forgotten after a while.

 

If Bob really wanted to screw Hearn he should get Loma to pull out, would really shaft Matchroom.

The problem is the money. He wants to fight in the UK because he knows he’s guaranteed a relatively high PPV return on top of excellent ticket sales.

 

Wow this is bad for British boxing. Loma might just be the last big star we have over here for long time.

 

Definitely not if I could prevent it.
The last part is the issue there, because in many cases you can't prevent it due to how pursebids and such work.
And I have to add, I would also try to prevent my fighter to have to go to Texas, Nevada, Germany (up 'till 2014 at least) Australia, and prevent testing from USADA and RUSADA, because all of them have shown they can't be trusted the slightest.
