He was completely calm and relaxed the entire match against Murray. He was even practicing little movements and tactics since he wasn't even bothered by Murray's offense. In short, a workout. Golovkin assesses his opponent in the first round, and proceeds from there accordingly.

It was a very impressive performance on many levels. People keep bringing up Golovkin's defense but it was clear that when Golovkin actually wants to defend, he does so very well. He didn't respect Murray's power at all and tried to get him to open up at times. People will say that Golovkin got hit here and here and here, but ignore the many times that he made Murray miss punches, including combinations. Look at Golovkin's face after 10+ rounds - hardly a mark on it, despite him going forward the entire time.

Notably, Golovkin adjusted to Murray's tactics in this fight. In the early rounds, Murray tried to hold and smother Golovkin and was having some success with it, but Golovkin quickly adjusted to that.
