This was the moment of truth for Canelo and he shown us what he really is

  1. This for me was his moment of truth to see what heart he had and everyone including his owns fans have seen what he is a coward.

I use to be a fan of canelo but I have lost every ounce of respect for this man I really doubt if he really is a Mexican fighter tbh.

I remember Stevenson doing similar things but this is way way worse he basically kneeled down to Golovkin and handed him his belt.

This situation is so bad that every fan has condemned this

Canelo reputation is ruined he will forever be seen as a puto

Mexican legends like Chavez Sr. would bi*** slap Cancelo if he met him now. They should set that up and put it on Youtube.

No amount of damage control by DLH can prevent this from reflecting badly on Canelo.

A great fighter, multiple weight world champion, fought and beat some of the best fighter's out there.

All that means nothing because he was talked out of fighting ggg (best mw and one of the very greatest i eva seen) for his first time really fighting at the mw limit.

If they don't fight next at 160 then that's a legit duck, and the only true duck i remember in recent times. Losing ones belt for failure to fight your mandatory is THE ONLY WAY one is even capable of ducking or being ducked.

The internet these days has a bunch of immature kids throwing duck, coward bum etc etc around like what we see hasn't been seen in every single era, dacade and hell, even every year

  6. every time I look at canelo's face I remember a puto

Sure they would, and if they tried they'd literally be knocked into a new life. You cliwns are acting like this had never been done and now isn't common place.

I understand, at the elite level it's far more rare.. well, actually very rare since the elites at his status usually have many belts and would had just fought a different titles mandatory.

Ok, canelo will fight back all his suoporters. Moment of truth, was NOTHING answered when he took fmj, trout ,cotto or lara ??? Even others get props for whooping angulo , kirkland types but now canelo is a joke ???

He's the same beast he was last week, just needs a confidence builder from fighting at the full 160. Him and ggg can still make the best fight in boxing, and yes i mean much better than ward v kovalev.

Give it time, I'm so on the fence but happy canelo had enough smart people to talk him out of doing smg too great before he's fully prepared. This isn't like facing a lara or cotto. This is a fighter canelo had spent a couple camps with preparing each other.

Just like ggg and kovalev, but kovalev did say he wouldn't fulfill his requirements once ggg makes his way to lhw. He did say ggg is the only fighter that he didn't like the idea of fighting. Does that make him a ****ing coward ??? Saying he would NOT like having to face ggg, but he would IF HE 'HAD TOO" exactly what canelo had said for a couple years.

Let's wait and see, plenty of great fights to come

It shows he doesn't have the heart of a great legendary champion, The great ones WANT to fight the best, the glory and honor that would come from beating GGG would be crazy, Thats what the great ones live for, instead these days its seems all about playing it safe and posing at a great champion, kind of like the instagram life where people pose in designer clothes and shades trying to all look like celebs.

One thing i give amir khan credit for is that he is one of the few that are willing to step up and put it all on the line.

I was a Canelo fan to and really believed he would take the fight and that he was just wanting an easy first defence against Khan. I would have rooted for Canelo had he fought GGG but not now dumping the belt like he did is a blatant duck, didn't even try for an extension while they try and negotiate terms.

I can't recall a fighter in recent times who has been ducked as badly as Golovkin and he hasn't even beaten anyone that good yet. Is he really that good, we may never know as nobody with anything to lose wants to fight him on equal terms.

How do you know that his vacating the title is because he doesn’t want to fight GGG? I think it’s more about the WBC belt and how they are trying to influence negotiations, giving too much bargaining power to GG and giving Canelo a deadline of May 24th to agree to such terms.

Lets remember this is the same belt that Cotto refused to pay the sanctioning fees for when he fought Canelo.

After the Khan fight, Canelo said he and GG should fight for honor and glory, nothing more. He was basically saying lets put the belts aside. You may ask yourself “why would Canelo be saying this”. Canelo may not have liked the WBC’s role in all this. I don’t think Canelo wanted to vacate the belt, but obviously he wasn’t comfortable with the deadline and probably didn’t like the terms specified by the WBC.

I’m as disappointed as anyone at this development but I think there’s more to this story than simply saying “Canelo is scared of GG”. If you listened to what Canelo said after beating Khan (the translator did not translate it accurately), agree with it or not, he said lets fight for honor and glory. Canelo may be seeing all the WBC stuff as obstacles to make the fight.

I think what’s at stake here is that Canelo wants to be able to negotiate on his own terms, without the WBC calling all the shots. It’s a tough negotiation because it’s not just the WBC that is involved. For all we know the offer on the table for May 24th wasn’t even a unification fight, and only in terms of the WBC, since that’s where the focus has been.

My guess is over the next month there will be ongoing negotiations between Canelo and GG trying to make this fight happen. Unless GG is SCARED of fighting Canelo that is ! Just because Canelo has vacated the belt, don’t mean he’s scared of fighting GG. Fans really want to see the fight. I think both Canelo and GG understand this. It should be for all the titles so the Winner is the Undisputed MW Champ. But it shouldn’t be the WBC calling the shots, stacking the deck against Canelo, their (former) Champion, giving him a deadline forcing him to agree to a purse bid.

The moment of truth for Canelo and for GG is when they step into the ring to fight each other. Both sides have to sit down in good faith to make this fight happen. If GG goes off and fights some other nobody in his next fight, then he doesn’t really want to fight Canelo. Then he’s ducking Canelo, a Light Middleweight who’s never fought at 160 lb. None of us really know all the details about what’s going on here. We know Canelo vacated the title. The same title that he’s been criticized for holding over and over again ever since he’s won the title. If GG wants to make this fight, then show us you want this fight.

canelo is ggg's puppet. ggg says "give me my belt" canelo says "here you go master ggg" and hands it him. then bends over and ggg hims him the long stroke.
