Yea looks like we're in detoxing for a couple of weekends after all the recent slugfests......then the madness resumes on april 12th.

Pretty quiet weekend, especially compared to what we've enjoyed recently. Glad to see some of my Michigan guys in action so I'll be paying close attention to the K-9 and McKart bouts.

    Spinks/Phillips is happening tomorrow

but yeah, there is nothing good until april 12th

WHy does HBO and showtime have to schedule these fights at the same time as the other. Each of those 4 fights could be a headliner of their own, instead of having to wait three weeks for it.

I'd like to see K-9 and Bronco both win. If either loses they should call it a day; especialy McKart.

K9 vs Ouma could have the makings of a classic. K9`s war with Powell is legendary now.

Wow, I completely forgot about that. I'm not a big SPinks fan, but I would have at least shown him the respect of mentioning that he was fighting.

I agree. Wins for both Michigan guys would be nice, but a loss for McKart should probably mean the end of the road. He's had a good career and I hope is okay financially.

It seems to me that age and weight have both caught up with Bronco. He's 3-2 at 160. One loss was a KO (Pavlik) and the other loss he retired on his stool after 5 rounds in a rematch wtih Enrique Ornelas. A few years ago if you would have told me that Bronco retired on the stool against a guy like Ornelas I'd have to you to SHUT THE **** UP and quit sniffin' glue! Now? I really wasn't surprised. On paper this fight with Marquez should be a good scrap. I just don't know if McKart has anything left.

Good post. Father time has taken it's toll on Bronco and 160 is too much for him. In his prime he schools Ornelas, probably dropping him in the process. Now, I'd just like to see him get out without getting hurt and having that last, easy farewell fight in downtown Monroe, Michigan like he has talked about.
