It was a pretty negative and repetitive fight.;)

I know but viewers around the country were probably tightening the noose after Jim's input.

Yep but he didn't find anything new to say. It's innovative but why not just call the fight like Tessitore does? He clearly had nothing else to say about how the fight was going.

I'm just starting re-watching in now but I think I'd struggle to find something intersting to say about that fight for 40 minutes!!

It was terrible IMO. He awarded Murray for taking leather and walking forward. I only gave him the 3rd.

And in the first round IIRC they said "Mitchells hurt!!!" he wasn't. 2 seconds later. Wow hes recovered fast.

    Or you were just wrong.

So like I say, do a Tessitore (or any commentator from years ago) and just call the fight. Unless the fight stops you can't run out of things to say.

Watch FNF or any old fight and you will see what I mean. Even Lampley does it but not to the same extent. But its why you have a colour commentator too to talk about anything else interesting about the fight and how its developing tactically. Anything is preferable to not having q defined commentary role and just repeating yourself (as I realise I am now doing). The Sky ones seem to have inbetween roles.

yeah, I was just ****ing about mate. TBH unless the commentary is very good I find it easy to ignore. It has to be REALLY bad before it pisses me off.

Not me. Once I notice something it kills me inside. I've never been able to watch on mute though, even with Spanish commentary I have to listen to Bunceys podcast over the fight.
