Speaking of Ringside. I don't want to come across as trying to make fun of him in any way, because I'm not. But Has Nelson been fumbling his words lately? When I first started to watch Ringside last year I can't recall him ever fumbling his words. Like I said it's a geniune question I'm not trying to make fun of the guy, so I don't want people taking the p*ss out of him when answering the question.
In all seriousness, Smith sometimes randomly looks at Nelson while he's reading. I bet that's offputting.
I'm sure Smith gives a little smile every time Nelson makes a mistake. I don't see why they both have to read the autocue. Smith should be the main host and Nelson the co-host. Nelson interacts well with the guests.
Smith shouldn't be the host. He's a half decent post-fight interviewer and thats about it. Last week when interviewing Wladimir he finished off the interview by saying "I could sit and listen to you for ages". Cringe. Dave Clark is a far superior host, but with his commitments to Premier League Darts on Thursdays, I guess that rules him out. Can't stand that Ed Robinson too. Don't mind Johnny Nelson myself.
