There's nothing to hate about catchwt. In practical sense, it's a voluntary compromise between 2 fighters of different physical frames.

Pacquiao is NOT a natural WW but LW. Against ODLH, he weighed only 142-lbs, his biggest in 15 years! 50 of 52 fights were 130-lbs or below, starting as 106-lb Jr Flyweight!! :-(

Pacman is fighting at above 140 'coz these are the big $$ fights!! But since his body go no more than 142-lb, he'd face 144-lb foes. For those willing to go down, like Cotto first then Mosley or PBF, Pac is ready:happy

He was a starving teenager at 106. He's a natural LWW. He's not small at 140.

I think haters are also forgetting that pacquiao is not a welterweight. Yes he fought delahoya at 147 lbs but delahoya is a JR Middleweight and pacman was a lightweight. BOTH agreed to fight at 147 lbs.

That's the point if you have a fight at a catchweight the results can always be argued. If catch weights are the way to go, why not eliminate weight classes altogether. If you want to set up a fight then the guys can just agree to whatever weight at that time.

    Competely false.

DLH weighed less than Pacquaio on fight night. At 154 Pac wouldn't of even been in the fight.

for the most part this is true, there are those that find fault with every pac opponent even though he has the most solid resume in modern boxing

Besides DLH. Pac hasn't fought anyone else who's been weight drained.

Sure he fought some older fighters. Barrera and Morales but you can't control age he fought what he could.

DLh weighed less than Pacquaio thats just.. eh.. come on..

Then if he forces Cotto or Mosley who both are cutting nearly 12+lbs to make 147.. you think that won't hurt them to cut more weight?
