Why are sooooo many people still insisting that Cotto has a weak chin? Every single time he fights someone, people say he is going to get Ko'd. How is it that a fighter who has never been KO'd and has never been dropped from a punch have a weak chin.

Torres didnt drop him with a punch, he pushed him to the floor. (I'll admit, Cotto was hurt though)

Anyways, the corley fight happened february 2005 and torres was september 2005.

Cotto hasnt been hurt since any of those fights. Not to mention, in both fights he TKO/KO'd both of them.

He has been stunned by Judah and that's about it. But Judah caught him the best uppercut you can possibly hit someone with and Cotto ate and kept coming.

Marg fans' only argument for a victory is Cotto's supposedly "weak chin." If that is the only way they think Margarito can win, good luck to them if they place any bets.

Cotto's chin has proven to be very durable at 147 and marg has never shown that he can KO an elite fighter. So how exactly is Marg suppose to KO Cotto?

    It's not going to happen.

    Cotto's chin is just fine.

Well Margo has also never gotten a chance to even fight a truly elite fighter. This will be his first time against one so we'll see what he's really got after the fight is done.

If the term chin simply encapsulatesability to take a shot without being stunned, then Cotto's chin is average, or maybe a little bit above. But, if it also includes the abilty to recover after being stunned...and it should... then the quality of Cotto's chin improves dramatically. Seriously, there aren't that many gys who would have recuperated so quickly in the 2nd and 5th round of his fight with Torres. Ditto in his fights with Corley.

Cotto can be stunned...or hurt. But you kind of get the impression that it's going to take a hell of a lot to take him out.

Nah, Judah hurt him in the 1st round after a big uppercut and a follow up barrage. Cotto's legs also wobbled after he ran into a straight left in the 2nd round.

Cotto's chin might not be the weakest out there, but it's defintely dentable.

    Very old.

ESB is just filled with a lot of douchebags who will use the old "If Corley can hurt him, Margarito will KO him"..

If that were the case, Judah and Mosley should have destroyed him.

and lets face it when he was rocked at 140,it was a temple shot(corley)& by torres who is a pretty ****in big puncher plus by then the weight had become an issue.id say cotto is one of the more durable p4p fighters today.

Torres was nailing Cotto flush all round and the man was still standing...ehm no he was actualy throwing back bombs of his own. I think his chin is decent if not good.
