Anyone can be hurt if they are caught by the right shot. What makes a person chinny is if they seem to always get hurt by mediocre shots or gets dropped.

Cotto has been visibly hurt approximately 3 or 4 times in over 30 fights, neither of which he has ever legitimately been dropped. That is hardly a bad chin. Can he be hurt, of course, but who cant be hurt. No one's chin is indestructible.

Now ... I Think That Its Not Even About Chins With These Guys Because We've All Found Out In Boxing That Anything Can Happen And Even The Best Chins Have A Chance Of Being Cracked.

I Think It Would Go Down To The Heart And Determination ...

It Will Also Go Down To Whatever Cotto Wants To Do ... If He Wants To Box (margarito Has No Chance) If He Want To Brawl (magarito's Chances Increase But He's Still Too Slow)

To Be Honest I Don't Think That Margarito Has What It Takes But To Land Some Bull**** And Hope To Hit A Home Run ... I've Been Debating With Myself About This Thinking That Cotto Shouldn't Brawl But His Overall Speed Is Killing Margarito's And Margarito Is Just Going To Come Forward.

Margarito Other Chance (a Strong Maybe) Is That Cotto Cuts ...

Other Than That - I Still Think That Margarito As A Product Of Media Hype And As Much As I Hated On Cotto Before (he'll Never Be Able To Beat Pbf) He's On Another Level ... Its Just A Matter Of Him Getting Marketed Right.

I've probably seen the majority of Miguel Cotto's fights and I've seen him visibly hurt in 4 fights by my count. He was hurt by Torres, Corley, Judah, and Victoriano Sosa. Cotto was stunned by a right cross from Sosa in the middle of an exchange at the end of the 2nd round. Many people seem to forget that because of the way Miguel destroyed him only a couple of rounds later.

I've also heard claims that Cotto was hurt against Kelson Pinto and that's why he started to back off and back peddle a bit in that fight. Not too sure about that though. If he was hurt it wasn't very visible.

i wouldnt say you've necessarily hated on Cotto. You just have way too much love for PBF sometimes.

To Be Honest Though ... Much Props For The Torres Fight Because He Was Advised Not To Trade With Him And He Turns Around And Knocks Him Out After A Round Or Two Of Getting His Legs Back.

He Was Getting Beat Down Before The Push --

if you're gonna say he was hurt by Pinto, then u have to say he was somewhat hurt by N'Dou, although He was NEVER hurt by Abdulaev which is a common myth on this site.

I'm not saying HE WAS hurt by Pinto. I'm simply stating a few claims I've heard.

I also saw Miguel Cotto on the spanish speaking sports show called Republica Deportiva after his fight with Pinto.... and a guy on there brought it up and all Cotto did was give a small laugh. But he didn't really confirm or deny being hurt so I'm not sure what to make of it.

So I guess cause Shane's dad said so it must be true.

The 2 times that he stepped up to elite fighters he has beaten them both. That's what matters.

What does Tito have to do with Cotto's body and how his body reacts to weight draining. Tito has been knocked down cleanly at 147. He usually got clipped in the 2nd rd a few times and went down.

Cotto has yet to be legitimately go down due to a punch.

Quintana beat Williams fair and square. Regardless of the outcome of the rematch.

At his very worst Cotto is extremely easy to rock. One of the easiest out there at the higher echelons.

However, Cotto is probably one of the hardest guys to put down once he's been hurt.

I think at 140 Cotto was too weight drained and more likely to be hurt much like Tito and De La Hoya when they fought at lower weights. But since he has stepped up to 147 his chin has looked good.

Having said that it would not shock me to see Margarito stop him. I have always thought Cotto is suscpetible to an uppercut and Margarito likes to utilise that punch and delivers it with power.

But Cotto has a good chin in my opinion, no way he gets starched in 4 as predicted my Margarito. He will have to be ground down to be stopped.

I think u hit the nail on the head ..AT 140 Cotto was too weight drained ..Thus resulting in allot of flash knockdowns ..I always wondered the same thing about Tito ..It seems as both of these fighters moved up they took a better punch ..I also think no one will get KO'ed in this one its going the full 12 ..
