Khan fights the way he fights. He isn't Bernard Hopkins in the ring lol. He makes brutal mistakes offensively, and he has all his career. When he bursts on offense he stays in the middle lane much too long. He'll throw 4 punches down the middle, right in front of your opponent - hoping and wishing that his punches are enough to disrupt any counter punch.

Danny Garcia is a wide puncher but he has the ability to time hooks off the counter and hes pretty decent and landing those bombs.

Now you can say Khan was fighting the wrong fight but I call bull****. He was fighting the only fight he knew how to fight against Garcia.

Khan didn't throw 4 to 6 straight offensive shots at Garcia like a maniac and get countered....

.....Khan threw his left hand and right uppercut (only 2 shots) in which the left hand got slipped under instantly and the right uppercut was expertly countered by its kryptonite - a left hook.

Translation for the ******s - Khan's left hand/right uppercut combo occurs within a fraction of a second in which he was going to then bounce out of harms way, but Garcia ain't no CHUMP, and he reacted with the EXACT movements that are required to **** a dude up that throws a left hand right upper cut. Danny intended on parrying/slipping that left hand, and coming out and over with his left hook. Thats all she wrote... If it wouldn't have happened then it would have happened later in the fight.

This is boxing folks. **** like this happens in a fraction of a second. Khan was getting hit after throwing 1 or 2 shots because Garcia can counter on that level. He didn't need Khan to get "wild" or "fight the wrong game plan" - bull****

I hope the asses on here let this sink in before posting irrational comments. Give Khan credit for winning a couple rounds. He was fighting Garcia the only way he knows how to fight. Thats the end of the story.

Give Garcia the credit for giving that boy the GOODS :deal

    No.

Amir Khan is the perfect fighter, exhibiting no flaws whatsoever.

He made one tiny mistake and paid for it. Otherwise, he is nearly God-like in his perfection.

He is the greatest fighter I have ever seen in my life. :yep:good

Didn't read, but I agree. Even when Khan was boxing him, Danny was doing really well and timing him. It was only a matter of time before that wide left hook -- a punch I was really concerned about -- would land.

You're talking about the one moment he was countered and timed to perfection.

Prior to that he was sitting down for 3 and 4 punch combos which enabled Garcia even more time to gauge his timing prior to the devastating knock down.

And you think Khan can fight like Bernard Hopkins? The dude only knows how to throw in bursts. He doesn't have the sting to hit you with 1 shot and move.

I'm a brit and a khan fan. but you're 100% right. he fought the only fight he could (I add the right fight) but got KTFO!

He has an elite skill set. But means nothing when you can't take punches. To steal somebody elses words. this is boxing not a tickling contest!

Lol, I meant I get the gist of what he's saying from just the thread title. So I didn't bother reading.

Exactly. If Khan started punching less he'd surely lose on the scorecards anyway. What you see in the ring IS Khan's game, and always will be.

    No, he's certainly no Hopkins.

But his training, specifically for this fight, was geared toward sitting down more and trading with Garcia. That's my critique.

Khan has the ability to stick and move all night, not to specifically hurt Garcia but just to win rounds. He could've worked off his jab, thrown the straight right, switched up with lead hooks when turning Garcia, right cross counters after slipping Garcia's wider left hooks. He has the boxing ability to negate his weaknesses if fighting a different fight.

I think he needs to become a much more jab and defense oriented fighter if he wants to achieve anything.

First time seeing Garcia fight but he was catching Khan with counters as early as the first round, he lost the first two rounds but Counter punchers ( Danny Garcia) usually use the first 2 rounds to get the timing down and to see what changes they need to make to get the win.
