Calzaghe picked up the rest of the fight after the 4th. the 7th round staggering of joe wasn't enough to take the rd for hops. Nard simply didn't do enough, and i saw more clean blows landing for joe in that fight. You didn't because you wanted joe to lose, so you blocked out what was happening to hops. nard landed a shot here and there while joe was throwing 3 and 4 to land one. he was still busy and the punchstats showed he won the fight. he also had hops backpeddleing most of the fight. He was the ring general and the more aggressive fighter w/ the slightly less landing percentage. How you can say joe lost that fight shows 1 of 2 things. 1. You know dick about boxing 2. Your a calzaghe hater
but he vacated the title dumbass only thing they was fighting for in that fight was legacy dick. hopkins vacated the title soon as he won it
No he's not. He's 37, give me another fighter whos style is based on reactions and speed that kept his best till 37.
No, I know tons about boxing, probably more than you'll ever know. Brian Kenny even had Hopkins winning, don't tell me he knows nothing about boxing, and he said the same things I was saying about the fight. And no, i'm not a Calzaghe hater, I tell it how it is, and if I thought he beat Hopkins I'd admit it. And punchstats is very inactive, so if you honestly believe he landed all those punches they said he did in those stats, than 1. It tells me you don't think for yourself or 2. you need to go see a doctor to get your eyes checked. He barley landed 3 hard shots on Hopkins face the whole fight and Hopkins is a counter puncher, so of course he ain't throwing as much, he was letting Joe run into his counters and fighting economical.(and agression doesn't mean anything, if it's ineffective aggression, which it was most of the fight on Joe's part) Joe's best round was the 9th round and 8th was his second best. But he never had 1 convincing dominating round in that fight.
Does Samuel Peter like jazz? Actually, come to think of it he's probably more of a blues man. Perhaps he's partial to a little 'Muddy Waters' when working on his footwork.
:huh just wondering why bring in sam peters on a hopkins calzaghe type thread? though u was making a joke with it
I didn't say all black fighters and he's a poor example because I can think of many black heavyweights more athletic than him, even ones that weren't considered great fighters.
