Perhaps not, but who really knows. It's not just what he accomplished throughout his career, but it's what he did tonight too. He put an end to this guy KO old beloved Mexican legends... Who wants to see old champs get ****ed up by the prime guy in the block... I know its the name of the sport, but we don't like to see it happening either way... So this fight may possibly catapult JMM very high.

Pacquiao is an overrated hypejob who had wins that were strategically picked by Top Rank to make Pac look amazing.

The real hardcore boxing fans know that Pacquiao ain't ****. The only thing Marquez did was he knocked out an over rated fighter. Victory like that doesn't mean much.

    :dealF'n this.

Nothing to take from JMM's victory, but that post was fricken gushing schoolgirl fandom-ery it almost sounded like a deliberately-penned romanticized eulogy it's embarrassing, hilarious even. Classic IsaL.

Other factors that wasn't even mentioned, but nonetheless equally important: Nacho foremost. Memo. Pac's obvious decline and carelessness.

I read your post. Marquez was screwed by the system, robbed, underpaid etc.

He produced a spectacular knockout against a one dimensional hype job who was made to look great against cherry picked opponents. Marquez won a great moral victory.

But from a hardcore boxing fans perspective, Marquez knocked out a hype job.

As a hardcore boxing fan, this fight is even more meaningful, simply because he ****ed with Arum, HBO, and the Commission's cash cow... Everyone ripped Pac off, made wealth off him, and little JMM came and ****ed there party... Hooray for JMM!:happy

I am so ****ing happy today... Since the second the first bell rang.... no, from the end of the Gamboa/Farenas fight, my heart was ****ing pumping. I've been looking forward to this fight since it was annoucned. Seeing that first knock down from Marquez was a historical event in my eyes and I thought for sure he had it. After Pac knocked down Marquez my heart sank and I thought another robbery might happen, and even worse when HBO was saying Marquez had a broken nose. Then, not only does Marquez knock Pac out, but he does it in an AMAZING ****ING "IS HE STILL ALIVE???" MANNER!! I don't mean to bash on Pacquiao for my joy in seeing this, but after all those robberies and Pac and Roach saying they "clearly" won the fight... this just feels like straight up justice. There is no way that you can question this win. Even after everyone was saying that if a knockout was to happen, it would be from Pac. Props to Pac though for congratulating Marquez and giving him his credit though.

    Amen brother!

But I thought it was bad sportsmanship from Pac to stick to the lame excuse Merchant yet again created for him to use.

The meaning Pac would not stand a chance against Mayweather. After the beating May gave JMM. And all the problems JMM gave Pac. Anyone who picked Pac over May was a buffoon
