Why is Joe a horrible match up for Glen then? Explain this to me?

That 2nd remark of yours says it all, I guess I hit a bullseye when I said you've only followed Calzaghe since the Lacy fight. Speaking as someone who followed both Calzaghe and Lacy before that fight - shut the **** up, you know nothing.

Most of us expected Lacy to win that one I'll admit, but we should have known better - Calzaghe does NOT take risks, which is why I fully expected him to beat Kessler. He's been waiting for 10 years for the 168 division to be a walkover and now he has it. Congratulations on being fooled.

To be fair (and this point has been made _alot_), the Hopkins fight was agreed, then Hopkins threw a $4m toy out of the pram which knackered it up completely. The machinations involved can't be thrown fully on Joes doorstep - although I do believe Warren to have held him back somewhat.

It's somewhat ironic that many maintain that boxers are only as good as their last fights (i.e. Hatton), yet when someone does put on a lesson in the fine art, it suddenly swings to a resume analysis. Personally, I'm of the mind that you're only as good as your last fight, and in this particular instance, the Kessler win does go someway to proving that Joe has been largely underrated.

Joe is unproven at the very top simple as that! He may well be the greatest fighter that ever lived. Sadly we will just know never know.

Its unfair and disrespectful to other boxers who have put there careers on the line to elevate Joe above his opposition.

He is what he is. An amazingly impressive on the eye fighter who never consistently proved it at the top. Possibly one of the biggest wastes of talents ever seen or one of boxings biggest myths. Who knows.

You're not American. Americans don't use the idiom "Yank"... only foreigners do... particularly Brits.

Calzaghe is one of the most talented and well-rounded fighters in boxing history from 160-175. His speed is incredible, his timing superb, his skills undeniable. Calzaghe is an underrated fighter by many, and in my opinion, would only be beaten by Roy Jones Jr at 168.

    I don't see how he's underrated if he's #2 P4P on Ring's list. #3 on mine.

Yeah right, Lacy was being regarded at the best American hope, the best prospect . . . very trueeee! :yep

So tell me who did Joe Calzaghe beat? :think

Therefore it's no big deal of a victory. That victory doesn't propel JC's name or stature any higher than before.

He ****i'n beat "the best prospect".

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
