I used to hate and somewhat disrespect PBF. I respected is talent, but not is style and accomplishments. Now, after the Hatton fight i cant find anything bad about him anymore. It was just amazing. I used to hate and disrespect Calzaghe. After the Kessler, it all had to change. But i still dont think he as a pleasing style. Even so now i will follow the rest of is career with respect. I am a hater no more, its what this year of boxing tought me.
Yea same for me about Calzaghe but the only thing wrong with Floyd is that he handpicks his opponents.
Pretty, pretty good. I forgot i also disliked Hatton. But no more. The hater crowd just dont see the light yet. But when boxing keeps punching you in the face, eventually you see the light!
True, thats also what i hated him the most for. But i honestly beleived that Hatton style was horrible for him. But he took the fight and had to fight very hard to win it. Now i beleive he will take the Cotto fight as well. After that i dont care what he does.
HATE BE GONE!!!! LET IT GO!!! SAY "GOD FREE ME FROM THIS HATE THAT HAS BOUND MY HANDS SO I CANT TOUCH, HAS BOUND MY FEET SO I CANT WALK, HAS BOUND MY EYES SO I CAN'T SEE!" Now your a free thinking soul again! Hate does not cloud your intentions!
Let me guess you were one of the people that thought Hatton would win? You were actually foolish enough to believe the media, that it would be a 50-50 fight, or the "experts" opinion that Hatton was a real skilled, verstile fighter? Well let me tell you something you should of known that Mayweather was going to win, and you would of probably still hated the guy.
I am in the same boat. I never hated Calzaghe just felt incredibly indifferent to him. The Kessler fight wowed me, he fought like a true champion, he fought a gutsy performance. As for Floyd, well I too hated (still do a little bit) his personality and demeanor. I wanted Hatton to win, of course I strongly felt Mayweather would win. The way he fought impressed me, he didn't really run away from Hatton he generally fought him mano a mano. Beat him from the outside and beat him on the inside, and of course everyone is impressed with a stoppage like that. So Floyd did well, I guess it was his coronation in making the statement that he truly is the best fighter of our era.
