Someone earlier hit onto a great point, about how people like Judah who are flashy, always get hyped up, whereas those who take plenty of shots, like Ricky Hatton, get called overachievers. In reality, someone like Ricky Hatton, for all his technical faults, was in a different league to Judah, prime for prime. Totally different standard of fighter.
Im with you the guy lost to every top fighter he faced including a loss to journeyman Baldomir and a controversial decision win over old man Pineda who many think he didnt deserved and despite all of that people still think hes an elite fighter that can beat the top fighters in the world.
WTF are you talking about? If anything they have similar careers Judah = 2 time jr welter title holder, frmr WW unified lineal champ Hatton = frmr Jr WW lineal champ, WW welter title holder Judah gets a bit overrated because he had so much talent he could have been a great Hatton gets underrated because he isnt supremly talented, he got by on his toughness and superb stamina (15 rounds on the body bag). he is an overacheiver (nothing wrong with it, infact i respect it) Judah is way more talented than hatton, imagine if Judah had hattons toughness and training regimne :scaredas:
Its the other way round...he was a top talent who's career sunk because of a lack of intangibles. A guy like Baldo is a contender who got lucky.
There is very little difference between Baldomir and Judah. It's just that people who can't read boxing, think anyone who is flashy, is also technically skilled but this is absolute ignorance. I like how these intangibles aren't always considered. That are the reason he wasn't a top class fighter - People talk about them like they don't count, but they do.
Zab just needs a good team around him , I look at the people who walk to the ring with him, and know when the lights go out so will they. I dont see him fighting again , too late and he doesnt bring anything to the table .
You think anyone stands behind his boxing talent due to his crap talk? You are an idiot. You probably think Hatton was better. Clown. Prime Zab, based on natural talent, with the right coaching would be on the level of Mayweather. Unfortunately, his talent was squandered. Prime Zab would probably KO half of your heroes. Prime Zoo would have too.
You are a moron. Boxing is a skillset that ENHANCES a set of natural abilities. When your dumb ass says "flashy" what you really mean is fast as hell with monstrous pop. So rating Zab and rating how his career turned out are completely different. You are obviously too ignorant to see that through your hatred. Had Zab realized he reached the peak of his team's abilities, he would have moved on from the Zoo fight to greatness. Instead he wallowed in what he knew and stagnated.
It boggles the mind how a dude as fast as Zab loses to Baldo. He was good, not great at all. Overrated as hell. Loses every big fight and he's still rated.
Discipline and commitment ALWAYS trump God/Nature given gifts over the long run. It is almost like being an amazing natural boxing talent is as much of a curse as it is a blessing.
