no one is talented but seems to suffer from the Cuban symdrome of lack of dedication the other one is just not that good
The beating he put on Mago will likely linger for several yrs and Perez aint getting younger. Takam however is a solid big man. Strong, powerful, with a pole jab and a strong lethal R hand. Knows how to apply pressure with the jab and box off the front and back foot. Watch the Grant fight and see how well Takam applies the jab vs a guy known primarily as being an offensive fighter. :think
I actually saw the Grant fight, but Takam didn't do anything out of the ordinary, he knocked out an aged and battle worn Grant as expected for a guy with his power, he was outboxed by a fat and old Botha in his previous fight Takam is quite ordinary, but makes up for it with a great chin and tremendous power, so he is a top 20 contender without doubt
Botha still has his moments early in fights. He took a long off after the beatign Wlad gave him and has been in almost every fight he's had against top opposition. While he has rapidly declined these past 2 yrs, it's fair to say that the KO loss to Takam was one of the reasons behind his descent. Still, your'e right that Botha was having his moments inside in that fight. But it's not like Botha is some pushover. His robbery draw to Perez was likely an effect of Perez's beatdown of Mago and the tragedy that continues...... But I think I'd like to see Takam fighting someone in the top 20 who isnt an HBO guy......that way he'd get a fair shake at the judges table, and we might actually get a legit contender out of it. Takam and Wach would be a good one. Wachs grade A granite vs Takam's raw power and solid beard. Takam could be the one to crack that iron.:think
I think he's suffering more from the Mago situation. That has destroyed many a fighter. Such a shame that fight ended the way it did. HW fight of the decade so far imo.
Takam vs Jennings would be good to decide whether Jennings is the real deal, and for Takam to see whether he can beat a top 20 HW :thumbsup Wach though isn't going to fight any time soon, he's having major issues with his promoter and manager and it looks like he won't be in the ring for a while, btw Grant was considered a possibility for Wach's comeback opponent, but fell through due to the situation I mentioned
Mago also landed some vicious shots on Perez which definitely took their toll, but as you mentioned he could be mentally cracked after what happened to Mago post fight
Yeah....good fight.:good And wow.....that sux bout Wach.....didnt know. Keep us updated if anything changes with the Wach situation.
