The only book I've read by Thomas Hauser was his biography of Muhammad Ali. I really enjoyed that book, but it wasn't so much a book by Hauser. Hauser had compiled a list of testimonies from people involved with Ali a different times in his life, and commented as well along the way.

Muhammad Ali-His Life in Times came out in the spring of 1991, and I thought it was excellent. I was a high school senior at the time, so Muhammad Ali was was slightly before my time, as I only had some memories of him as a little kid seeing him on commercials and in the news. I was already into boxing and very interested in learning more about Ali and why he was so big. This book gave an intimate look at Ali throughout his career through the people who were around him at the time as well as his contemporaries as far as opponents as well as the leading athletes and celebrities of his time. Remember, this book came out right before the information age and the internet, so it was not as easy to learn what you did from that book about Ali from other outlets, which were limited at the time.
