Thomas Hauser. Yearly boxing books. Anyone got any?

I don't like Hauser, Rob'.

 

Hauser's worst book will be better than your best one, Flea.

 

No chance, I'm working really hard on this one, and won't write 2673 books just on Ali.

 

They better not be 2673 books on some South Korean part time tooth pick with bad hair either!

 

Hauser is good. 'Black lights' is a great read.

The Boxers of Thailand from the inception of Muay Thai to Wonjongkam.

 

That's a massive undertaking - where will you find all of your material?

Going to Thailand again, looking to raid the archives of Muay Lok magazine, meet and interview the fighters themselves, old Ring mags, newspaper archives, even pulled an old Muay Thai program out of a 1940s edition of The New Yorker.

I have the structure and synopsis for each chapter done already: just fleshing it out now. The process of discovery is arduous but a lot of fun :good

Just looking to put all in the info' in an easy-to-access publication for the Western World and capture these tales before they are lost forever. About 15 fighters that get extensive coverage.

 

And Mugen :good

 

Hauser is a great writer. He can just be a bit of a grump sometimes.

 

Got all of them, about to order this one

Cracking reads, little bit on everything that happen in the prior year, plus to some nice retrospectives on fighters from the past, pieces on the background people that keep the sport going and some humour

Well worth a few quid of anyones money, a lot of his older articles are viewable on The Sweet Science website (these books are a collection of his web writings anyway)
