He would be undefeated and would beat every Mayweather opponent with greater ease and destruction.

I shudder to think of opponents like Ricky Hatton in there with a prime Hearns at 147. I imagine the results of a Cotto encounter.

If Hearns were active in todays game at welter in his prime and employed the tatic of fighting only opponents he could beat, he would be in the discussion of greatest fighter ever.

my point being Mayweather is a great fighter but highly overrated and only when he engages the greatest threats to his status: Pac and Martinez will we be able to gage his true greatness

That's a long and un-needed way of saying Mayweather needs to fight his elite options.

The point being that Mayweather's best weight was 130/135.

Hearns' was 147, where he started.

You could argue that Hearns best weight was at 154.

DLH, Shane, Starling, Tito, Curry, Quartey... would probably all go undefeated through Floyd's comp.

the point being that Hearns engaged the best of his generation at the elite level so we are better able to gage his true greatness,

Mayweather has not, yet many claim he may top 10 atg material or the greatest ever? I say it is an unmerited status. Its not about the record or the o losses but the quality of opposition at the elite level.

the longer a fan has been following boxing the more informed the rapport, many Money fans have no idea who Curry is! besides it being an Indian condiment.

How can a guy with so many critics who claim he's overrated possibly be overrated? If you want to talk overrated, look at Mayweather's chief rival. He's been fighting the same level of opposition as Mayweather with a fraction of criticism.

People don't like Mayweather because he's not humble.
