Why can't guys like Hearns or Duran ever fully retire? Took Duran years to finally retire and now Hearns challenges Antonio Tarver to a fight and he is 52 years old!!. Tarver is there to do commentary for Showtime. Tommy is too old to fight!!! He could be hurt!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFcTS0qpyIc[/ame]

Its cause of money, Hearns just got evicted from his house because he still owes back taxes to the IRS.

Wrong. He was probably the hardest puncher ever at 147 and 154. Above that, he was still a very good boxer but no longer a menacing KO machine. At LHW, numerous fighters hit harder than Hearns and they wouldn't be top punchers at HW: RJJ, Michalczewski, Moorer, Spinks and several others.

I thought Tarver was harsh for taking on Rocky but this one would be a step too far ha

Damn Tommy say it ain't so. Tarver can still fight, even as badly faded as he is now. So when do you think we will be getting sold Hearns-Holyfield?

Personally I think there has to be some other old legends that he can fight in some type of tourney that involves 14 ounce gloves and headgear.

Even at his age Hearns smashes Mr. Milk Dud to pieces.

How the hell can someone like hearns need money, he should be loaded.
Getting back in the ring is not wise, do merchandising commentary or get a boxingrelated job.

Do you have a source for that? I checked Wiki to see if there was a mention and it said "Hearns' family is a fixture on the Detroit sports scene. His mother, Lois Hearns, is a fight promoter. Their company, "Hearns Entertainment", has promoted many cards, including the Mike Tyson-Andrew Golota bout in 2000. His son Ronald Hearns is a rising boxer, and has fought on the undercard of his father's recent fights. Hearns retains much of the millions of dollars he has made throughout his career, he currently lives in Southfield, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit) where he has a house with 10 acres of land and buys a new Bentley every year."
