Thomas Hearns' defensive skills

    Hearns was a boxing fans dream.

    An offensive force that we may never see the likes of again. He could have IMO stunk out alot of fights with his height, range and boxing skills but he was a warrior at heart and he was thinkin about putting hurt on somebody.

    I think the biggest flaw in his defense was between the ears. He knew he had the hammer and he was willing to stand and trade more than he probably shouldve. Ray Robinson was the same way except his chin was extra tough.

    No, Robinson was more skilled defensively as well. He didn't leave the openings Hearns did.

    Yes but I meant as far as mentality goes they both couldve played it alot safer if they didnt have dynamite in their gloves.
