I think Tito is being underrated here.

He had that power that you could visibly watch the opponent thinking "Oh ****...what the **** was that?"

    Can somebody please explain.

Are we talking about guys who were the most heavy handed but didn't necessarily have the speed or technique, or the complete package of just who hit harder generally with power, speed and technique all put together etc.

If that's the case I would probably go for Ray Robinson.

I'd go with Hearns, and I hope I'm not allowing my Detroit bias to influence my decision.

Pipino Cuevas would probably agree with me.

Joe Calzaghe at WW as an amateur was pretty mean. He didn't have the one hit power of Hearns, but he was more effective at stopping people with a flurries of horrific hooks, even with all the padding.

Based purely on results (because there is no footage), Joe Walcott might deserve (probably does) this honor. Any welterweight, one who is all of 5'1'', that can by all accounts basically bounce a top heavyweight around the ring has to be the most brutal punching of all the welters.

It's hard to tell...I think SRR had more power but when you look at Tommy Hearn's KOs, it gets harder to tell. Hearns KO against Cuevas was nasty.
