I've just finished watching his career set and was wondering what people bellieved his top 10 wins were. For example is a win over Pipino Cueves better than over that version of a Roberto Duran.

Make no mistake, he starched a fine version of Duran. Duran simply kept his head a little too high and got it taken off.

1-Duran--no one ever did anything close to that to a pime RD 2-Pipino Cuevas 3-Wilfred Benitez 4-James SHuler 5-Virgil Hill 6-Juan Roldan 7-Draw (Shoulda been a win) against SRL II

those are his best 7...don't know about the other 3

it was a very impressive performance, and Duran was far from shot, but it wasn't prime Duran. Hearns also had one helluva reach advantage.

I wouldn't say Duran was in his prime in that fight imo.

Hmm I'm not so sure about Shuler before Virgil Hill. It was of course a devastating performance over a prospect but Virgill Hill went on to do a lot and was soundly beaten by a over the hill Hearns.

My attempt at a top 5 would be:

    1) Wilfred Benitez
    2) Roberto Duran
    3) Pipino Cuevas
    4) Virgil Hill
    5) James Shuler

heres some of the best fighters he beat
Pipino Cuevas-cuevas was undefeated in 11 defences and was the best 147 fighter at the time, hearns made him look like nothing in 2 rounds
virgil hill-tommy was past his prime fighting at 175 a he still dominated a very good champion
Wilfred Benitez-ATG 154 fighter close fight
duran-no 1 had ever done that to him he went 15 rounds with hagler
Dennis Andries-underated fighter tommy put him down several times in the fight and dominated him at 175
    other notable wins
    Michael Olajide
    Juan Domingo Roldan
    James Shuler
    James Kinchen
    Luigi Minchillo
