I reckon Benn would get slaughtered.Either by The hitman or Haglar but Benn would`ve been a good fighter against either.

Benn would have a puncher's chance and no more. Many lesser boxers had that same chance against Hearns so he's a difficult fighter when it comes to fantasy match ups.
Keeping it real though he was on a far higher plane than Benn.

If Hearns boxes smartly, he stops Benn. If Benn drags him into a war early, Hearns gets knocked out within 2 rounds.

I think a series of 3 would end up 2-1. Who would win is a coin toss.

If Benn could survive and overcome McClellan´s power, I doubt Hearns would KO him. But... Hearns is a much better pure boxer than Gerald ever was, taller and with longer reach. Hearns UD or Benn by late TKO.

At 160 lbs Hearns smashes Benn, that is a gauge from the Hearns v Haglar fight `85.At supermiddleweight maybe different.

This is actaully a very interesting fantasy match-up.

Hearns wasn't the same puncher up close as he was from a distance, so struggled against guys who had the ability to get in his grill. I think Benn would have a very goo chance of getting to Tommy. Just depends on how much fire he would be able to walk through.

I could see multiple knockdowns of both guys in a back and forth shootout.

Benn would have to KO him to win.

There's more chance of James Toney winning the Nobel Peace prize then Benn decisioning Hearns.

Nobody, i mean NOBODY outboxed Tommy Hearns for even brief periods.

Benn would stand a better chance against James Toney i think who was around at the time at 160lbs but Toney would`ve beat him on points or late ko.

Benn was made for Toney. You never knew which Toney was gonna turn up though, especially at that weight. Benn could out-hustle him if he didn't have his game face on. Or a bout of gluttony beforehand.

Benn would take him in 2. No doubt about it.
