When Tommy started boxing, it was usually after he realized he couldn't get the other guy out of there and he didn't use his power nearly as much once he started getting up on his toes and firing the jab. Hopkins took an illegal blast right to the chin from Antwun Echols and it only pissed him off, I've never even seem him wobbled before his last fight.

This is BHops all the way.

hopkins by decision. hearns would keep it close with his jab and occasional right scoring for him, but hops wont give him to many of those. hopkins will stay inside the kill zone which is the end of tommys extended punches. fighting at his prime weight and outworking tommy on the inside, he gets the decision.

True but even a peak Hopkins never really set a blistering pace.

I don't think Hopkins could easily nullify Hearns' jab, as some people think.

Hopkins wouldn't have faced anyone like Hearns, especially with such an offensive repertoire.

People sometimes forget what a masterful boxer Hearns could be.

But it's not the odd right that BHop is going to have to deal with.

BHop would have to smother him and rough him up, but it wouldn't be that easy. If Tommy got on his toes, BHop has never been great against the guys that boxed and moved.

You have to be the kind of strong guy who fires looping unorhodox bombs to beat Hearns.

    Hopkins doesnt fight that way

Hearns, probably by decision, but TKO would be no surprise.................

If Hearns fought clever, he'd win this, and handily. But I wouldn't trust him to keep Hopkins purely on the outside, and I think Hopkins can basically outmaul him.
