I like Tommy .. Bernard was not that strong or a big puncher ... Hearns had a lot of speed and power on him

Barkley countered Tommy`s jab with his own jab well in the second round, he also landed several powerful hooks too, Tommy had to clinch a few times in the third.

Tommy didn`t have a great chin, he was stopped at 147 by Leonard, B-hop had enough pop to stop Tommy.

Roy was much quicker than Tommy and it was a boring fight, B-hop improved vastly by the late 90`s.

Roy didn't even use a jab and Hearns throws his jab much quicker then Roys not to mention its a much better jab.

That is true, but B-hop was better defensively than anybody Hearns fought at 160 or above.

That`s common knowledge, B-hop changed his whole style everybody knows that.

While it would be a very tough fight for Hopkins because of Hearns's stupid reach, style, speed and power,I doubt Hearns can win this.

One of Hearns's weaknesses are the ones that could bully him inside and not fear his power, Hopkins can do that and is a very crafty fighter,I think he can pull it off

Hopkins was simply too good, too big, and too well rounded for Hearns. People thinking that coming down in weight would hurt Hopkins are forgetting that he was coming in light even late in his middleweight career. He stayed in shape and never had trouble cutting weight so thats s non issue. He was tough, durable, had a fighters mentality and knew all the tricks. He was beating guys at MW in dominant fashion that Im not sure Hearns could have beaten to say nothing of beating Hopkins himself. Conversely I dont see Hopkins struggling with Benitez, Kinchen, Barkley or Roldan the way Hearns did and I think he’d be 50/50 to beat Hagler, odds Id never give Hearns.

Hearns beat Benitez rather easily so that tells me you have never seen the fight.
Had he not damaged his right hand he would have stopped Wilfred who he had already dropped.
Hagler would have beaten the hell out of Bhop.
    Kinchen was at Super Middle.

B Hop barely stopped anyone. Oscar w a liver shot. Tommy was much stronger later in his career .. I see him being a bad match up for Hopkins.

He outboxed Benitez and Wilfredo in his prime was tricker than Hopkins. No one ever outboxed Hearns, his weakness was big punchers and Hopkins was no puncher.

Taylor outboxed him twice. Hearns boxing skills are levels above Taylor. And Hopkins who is not a puncher will not stop Hearns either.

Benitez would be too small to take on B-hop, he started his career at 140.
