Iran Barkely wasn't in Tommy's league, and he beat him. Czyz is at least as good as Iran was. He was a capable fighter in his career.

Barkley was a tougher guy than Czyz who tended to back off when hit over and over. I see Hearns busting him up and stopping him on swelling in about 7 or 8..

He always wanted to fight Hearns because he knew Hearns at that point was way above his weight, and a win or a fight gets him more money and notice than he would have had. I think Hearns sharp punching would be what beats Czyz. Stopping Czyz on cuts or swelling.

The thing which I would have loved to see it Hearns sharp punching on Czyz. Czyz couldn't have hung with Hearns sharpness it was too pinpoint. Czyz was physical and he could have been roughfor Hearns at times, but his style and defense would have been made for Hearns. I don't see a problem for Hearns. I see more McCallum being tough for Hearns, but not Czyz.

Virgil Hill was better than Czyz and Tommy beat him relatively easy. Andries was outclassed by Hearns and Andries beat Czyz.
And as far as Barkley and Czyz. Czyz was not as tough as Barkley was.. Barkley to me was a better fighter and his style was better suited for Hearns. He threw in the middle of exchanges which could exploit Tommy's reckless nature of going for the knockout.

Bobby Czyz was a good fighter and he beat up guys yet he was a front runner sort of. I don't remember him beating anyone in an upset. Maybe Robert Daniels. He got hit a lot and he had a little power, but nothing devastating at the high level. I would have liked to have seen him fight Barkley.

    You do understa
You do realize that Andries defeated Czyz right? Although that was an improved Kronk version of Andries.

Yep, he beat Lalonde handily, who troubled Leonard a little and had him down.
