Exactly. I also remember that Matinee Idol stuff which NBC sort of marketed. He was always made out to be this exciting intelligent top fighter and then he would lose badly on the big stage. Hamsho first, then Williams, Andries, then Hill. Those were good fighters no doubt, but his image was built up to be able to beat them all easily. Bobby always had good excuses for why he lost those fights. The one against Evander was the worst one. If Evander or his corner would get some substance on Bobby to make him have a reaction, you would think Evander would use the same substance when he fought Bowe or Toney, guys who gave him tougher fights.

Hearns was too fast and experienced. Bobby didn't do well with the good fighters he fought and Hearns is a great!!!!

The speed and sharpness of the Hearns jab is the difference.

Bobby would make things uncomfortable, but he'd get his face pecked apart at the same time.

Hearns close but very clear UD.

RXCELLENT! until Whitakre, all the Duva fighters were. built up on nonpuncher glassjaw pasttheirprime slow types. Even Duva said czyz should thank him for finding the guys he did to build him up. The only thing that would have made duva stable complete back then is if Cooney joined it. then it would have been complete from top to bottom czyz ayala ramos (thank you Teddy Sanders) Bumphus and cooney it would have been a perfect fit
