Thomas Hearns vs Carlos Monzon at MW (15 rounds). Hearns fought few 15 rd fights....the Wilfred Benetiz fight being one...a MD win for Hearns. Since Monzon fought in a 15 rd era...then this fight is over 15 rds. Hearns would actually be taller than Monzon, longer reach...and carry an equally powerful punch. Could Hearns smartly box and pick up maybe a SD for himself?
Apart from his accurate and heavy right cross,Monzon threw strength sapping shots to the body this I feel would be the key to beating Hearns.no-one ever managed to boss Monzon in a fight and as much as I admire Hearns, his middleweight resume is pretty thin.Carlos by late tko for me.
