****ing right. good match. i can see two options:

1)Hearns keeps his distance, uses his size and speed advantages and turns in a brilliant UD
2)Tiger walks him down, weathers the early storm, turns it into a war of attrition, pounds him with hooks and uppercuts in close and takes a UD

each option to me is 50/50

Can someone tell me Hearn's big win , ever at middleweight ?

He got destroyed , early by Hagler ...

He got flattened by Barkley ...

He was in a life and death with Juan Roldan that could have gone either way ...

Dick Tiger was possibly the strongest middleweight that ever lived and I see him suriving the erly rounds and beating Hearns down over the distance .. by clear decision or late round TKO ..

Tiger would've lived up to his name here. I envision him walking through Hearns' bombs, boring his way inside and mauling Tommy's ribs or shattering his chin. One of the two. However it transpires, I like Dick by brutal KO, as Hearns' brittleness is fully exploited in this one.

To be fair, what was Joey Archer's biggest win outside of Tiger? He was able to box well enough to keep Tiger at bay, and he couldn't hit hard enough to break a potato chip.

Having said that, Hearns slowed with the extra weight he gained from 154 to 160, much like Arguello when he moved up from 130 to 135. His fights with Hearns and Roldan showed that his footspeed and reflexes were slower and he was much more hittable. Based on that, I would favor Tiger to get him as well, albeit perhaps late.

Tiger would break Tommy down and stop him late. Whilst Tommy would have success at range, even with the vicious left hook to the body he emphasised at the higher weights I don't see him slowing Tiger sufficiently to stop him closing the distance. Tiger brutalises Tommy late, too durable, too strong.
