The Leonard /Hearns fight pretty much sumerizes too me exactly why Hearns would demolish PBF.Sugar Ray was alot larger than Floyd,a natural and large at that welter who travelled up to super middle and light heavy as oposed to Floyd who started his career at Super Feather and has trouble making light middle.Sugar Ray imo had faster hands, superior variety of punches and hit alot harder to boot.So you have to ask the question how would Floyd stand any chance in a matchup with a prime Hearns who gave Leonard a fighter possesing an infinately superior offensive arsenal to Floyd all he could handle and them some.
Hearns is a stylistic nightmare for PBF. I don't think he would stop PBF because of his defensive genuis but he would win by UD.
Hearns only lost to Leonard by overtraining. He would have had much more energy in the later rds if he had not come in so light. Anyway, Hearns stops Mayweather in the 10th
Tough one to call. A prime Hearns was never outboxed and even with a shaky chin I don't see Floyd knocking him out. If it goes the distance Floyd has a good shot at outpointing him. If Hearns can catch him enough it could be a knockout. I favor Mayweather. If they fought 3 times I would pick Mayweather twice.
imo pbf outpointing tommy is more ridiculous than those who picke pbf by ko. please explain how a safety first fighter like pbf would be able to score consistently enough to score a points victory. no way in hell does he get inside of tommy's jab, and we know he will not try to press the fight in close. tommy is too big and too good. the size difference is too much. if it happens to go to the cards which i seriously doubt, this would be along the lines of anywhere from 10-2 possibly 12-0 whitewash. tommy is all wrong for a fighter like pbf. he does not have any advantages in this fight. he is not significantly faster if at all, he is the smaller man, and tommy imo would be the superior boxer in the ring.
Fact is Hearns was possibly the worst match up for Leonard. He was more powerful than him, and could out box him. Leonard had to go through absolute hell to win that fight, and he almost lost an eye for it. There was only one way he could get the job done against Hearns, rush him the **** down and finally caught him, down on the score cards, in the 14th! Let's make no mistake, the 80s welterweight-middleweight guys would own the ones of this era.
How would Whitaker have done against Tommy at Welterweight? Would Tommy have beat him down? Whitaker damn sure couldn't have ko'd him.
Here you go smalltimes, little liar. No one in 130lb -154lb history beats Floyd??? You sure? Not SRR, Leonard, Duran, Whitaker.... nobody?
I would be hard pressed to find any non-power puncher who I think would beat Hearns at Welter. "Nobody could out-box Tommy Hearns."-Manny Steward. No way in hell Floyd wins this fight.
If you did stutter, you would probably save yourself from saying some of the dumb **** that you say. :deal
