Hearns at 6'1 vs Armstrong at what 5'6/5'5'' ? the Hardest punching welter in history against a aggressive swarmer who didn't have explosive power. One of the best jabs, if not the best jab in the history of that division, against a fighter who rarely used a jab. If Armstrong made it to the 5th round it would only be thru the grace of God lol.
Armstrong had to bulk himself up to 140lbs so he'd be giving away a lot of weight to hearns. Hearns would beat him easily. As a lightweight Armstrong gives any other 9-9er a go but Welter is another matter
I can't take these threads seriously. I'm waiting for a Manny Pac v Kovalev thread before I think an answer is worthy.
Armstrong was stopped just twice in 181 fights, one of those defeats was in his pro debut. Past his prime he went 10 round distance with a prime Sugar Ray Robinson, so I wouldn't dismiss his chances so easily.
