Feel like this is a bad style matchup for Graham despite Hearns being vulnerable at 160lbs, don’t feel like Graham is the sort of guy to expose that vulnerability. Who wins this matchup?
Why? Graham, like Turpin, has got to be one of the most hyped & regurgitated Brit fighters there ever was. He was a Good & Noted fighter of course he was, but he got 3 Shots at World Titles, that's more than some World Titlist even got... I was never impressed by the pawing ****** Ingle school style anyway, but Hey ho!
Hearns knocks him out in the middle rounds the only way to beat Hearns is by pressuring him. A defensive tricky boxer like Graham isn't the style to beat Hearns, and whilst Graham had good reflexes he holds his hands far too low for a sharp shooter like Hearns. And eventually Hearns would find the target with that right hand and that's all she wrote.
Graham a very good fighter but Hearns just has the power to put most to sleep, even if it goes 6rds on he will catch Herol and Hearns a brilliant finisher.
Graham's best win is probably the shell of Ayub Kalule . His only tactical and physical advantages would be his south paw stance. Hearns's advantages in speed, power, height, reach, experience and skills would overshadow any weight advantage Graham may have. Personally I see this going the same way as Hearn's fight with James Shuler. Hearns making short work of Graham.
Hearns is not limited or cautious enough for Graham to make a true fight out of this one. The Hitman takes him out.
Meant a bad style matchup for Graham, good style matchup for Hearns, he doesn’t have the style or attributes to expose Hearns’ durability.
