Thomas Hearns vs Julian Jackson at JMW.

Would Hearns brawl with JJackson early knowing
each could knock the other out?

Hearns would probably not brawl and simply try to outbox him, as for who wins, well the first to land a good one on the chin wins by KO, this fight may not last two minutes.

Bombs away.jackson may shade the battle of the bangers but I think Hearns can outbox him and pull the trigger late on

I think Hearns would choose to box Jackson...if he does he wins. But he was known to step on the gas, and run into a brick wall sometimes. This could be a scenario with Jackson...that guy could really really hit.

Hearns would knock him out pretty quick, boxing but boxing aggressively.

More times than not, I see Tommy finding the target first. Both could flatten the other, but Hearn's reach should give him the crucial advantage.

Probably Hearns, but it's FAARRRR from a given.

Tommy has an edge because he was rangier, faster, and a better technician, but all it would take is literally ONE solid shot from Jackson to land and Tommy would be sleep.

Either way, it wouldn't go past 5. But yeah, Hearns should be favored. There's NO safe pick here though.

Hearns is levels above Jackson when it comes to class. Provided he does not get cold-****ed by a haymaker (which could happen) I see Hearns drilling Jackson with that piston jab and finishing him off fairly quickly.

Whoever lands the big one first? Based on his reach, skill and handspeed, you'd have make Hearns the favourite to do that. But all it takes is one wild haymaker from Jackson.

Jackson was hardly the hay-maker type. I think he gets somewhat underrated here. While Hearns without a doubt put his punches together better, I think Jackson more or less matched him for precision. I also think he matched him for hand speed and had the better defense from a technical standpoint (by a fair bit, actually).

But I think Hearns superior reach and combination punching would make the difference here.
