Very true, and it would be no slight against them in my book. The 80s welters were massive compared to the guys who are dominating at 147 now. But if we're going to compare what would happen between those guys and the current crop at 147 then we have to be reasonable about it. And none of them would have a shot against Tommy. SRL is probably far too big for them, Floyd can match him for skill but SRL is skilled AND big.

You are one delusional nut ..
Pac or floyd would stand little chance against Donald Curry, let alone tommy!

If these fighter where around, pac would not have moved passed 120 forget 147, and floyd would not have moved passed 135 if that .

Hearns got lucky against duran and his common opponents prove this duran performed better

Hearns would get stopped by Pac like i said would not be easy

He would get the chair after committing genocide on both divisions.

He would beat Floyd and it wouldn't even be close.

Is there a way to ignore a poster so you don't have to see his posts any more? This is silly. Duran had the greater career, true. But Tommy didn't get 'lucky'. Tommy caught him again and again and then ended him with one of the greatest KOs in history. Tommy was also a naturally bigger man than Roberto. There is a 0% chance that Manny could stop Tommy. Tommy is a naturally bigger man who is more technically skilled than anyone pac has been in the ring with. You're comparing him fighting bigger men like Margarito and Cotto? Those guys get KO1 by Tommy.

LOL Do you honestly think Manny could take Tommy's power over the course of a fight? He has never felt that type of power before. :patsch

He never fought anyone that tall. Much less with that good of a jab and massive power.

It's just an ocean of difference in class between the big guys Pac has fought and what he'd be dealing with if he stepped in the ring with Tommy.

As far as I can remember the tallest man Pac has been in the ring with is Margarito at 5 11'. Imagine what would happen to Margarito if he fought Tommy. Forget loaded gloves, you could give Margarito brass knuckles and he'd still get KTFO in round 1.

    LOL @ Paul Williams.

Hearns would KO him in a round.

that would be a dream match for me. just for someone to really shatter marg into a bunch of pieces. that fight would be ugly to epic levels. god, this would literally be hearns unloading on a heavy bag. no way could marg get out of the way of any shot.

I don't think he lasts more than 2,3 rounds of hearns clean shots

Hearns would eat them all alive. Nobody would beat him.

He'd leave Manny disabled, and he is THE worst match-up in Boxing history for Floyd.

If he saw round 3 they should just put a win on Marg's record. He would have surpassed my expectations by so much he'd deserve it. Marg has the kind of defensive awareness you see in movies when a train is coming his way and he keeps running DOWN THE TRACKS instead of just taking a step to the side and letting the train pass by.

That was the most unbelievable segment I've ever seen. No man has ever said 3 more ridiculous things in a row.

1.) "Thomas Hearns is WAY overrated"
2.) "Ray, doesn't Manny remind you of a small Marvin Hagler?"
3.) "Pacquaio survived BOMBS from Tim Bradley in the early rounds of their second fight."

I can hardly think of a worse comparison for Manny than Hagler and the closest Bradley will ever come to a bomb is if he befriends Kim Jong Un.
