Montell had an awkward style but maybe not the type to annoy Hearns.

The problem with Montell in this fight is going to be the Hearns jab which is going to control him.

Hearns points. This is one of the more favorable light heavyweight matchups for Tommy.

Hearns Ko's Griffin at Light Heavyweight.
Though Griffin was awkward, he wasn't a great fighter.
A pissed off Roy Jones Jr finished him off with in the 1st rd.
While Hearns didn't have the athleticism of Jones Jr. His physical advantages and boxing I.Q would be just as dangerous for Griffin.
Griffin was only 5'7" with a reach of 70".
About the same height and reach of Duran and Cuevas.
Those disadvantages turned disastrous for those two fighters. It wouldn't be much different for Griffin.
Hearns with in five rds at most.
Yes , even at Light Heavyweight.

basically a replay of Griffin's fight w/ Tarver, w/ Hearns controlling the fight all night long w/ his jab & reach. The only drama would be whether Griff actually makes it to the end.

Griffin gets much mileage out of his fight with Jones and people forget he was on the way to getting stopped when Jones got Disqualified.
What is exactly would he do against a Hearns who had one of the best jabs in the history of the sport?

175 wasnt prime Hearns but if he beat Virgil Hill, a hall of famer.....

    Tommy by decision.
