Benn has that Barkley style chance to land a haymaker as Tommy goes for the kill, and Benn was Danny Lopez-esque in that regard at middleweight. I think Hearns blasts him with straight punches though. Barkley was a bigger physical beast at the weight than Benn, even if Benn got the better of him in a shootout he wouldn't get the better of the Hearns that was lighting up 'The Blade' before he got blasted.
benn would smoke hearns up like a blunt. the glass that hearns has in his chin isn't going to take benn's shots. i see a violent stoppage for benn by the 7th.
I think Hearns catches Benn coming in with a straight right and sparks him out. Thats my pick but in these kind of shootouts anybody can go.
I think either Benn takes him out early 4- or hearns takes him out later 8+ or so....I am not sure which I see as the more likely. I am leaning towards Benn stopping him early though. At 168 I think Benn's chances increase.
Benn would be blown away, he was far too crude as a Middleweight to stand a chance. Hearns would smoke inside three.
Shuler/Barkley ending to this one for def, if it goes past 3 then i'd lean towards Nigel taking over.
Benn came out of the box full bore... I think if Benn tags him, he finishes him. Benn was super strong, super hard punching, and super aggressive. If Hearns gets any kind of space at all to place some shots, he wins.
Unlikely this goes the distance & Benn has a good punchers chance... but my money is on Hearns to stop him in about 8 or 9 rounds.
