yes size advantage....meaning taller and longer reach, how was he down?? when he was taller and had a longer reach?

and yes speed, since when was tommy slow?

i think people are confusing what i said or some****....

"with his power and speed along with his size advantage", meaning with the power and speed he has....and the size advantage, not saying his power and speed advantage, just saying his size advantage...plus his power and speed, get me?, i guess that does sound confusing though but yeah...

but yeah what i was getting a was with his reach and height advantage, he'd out box him untill jones pulls one of those "leaping hooks" and catch him coming him.....which is how i think Hearns would get him in the end

but i cant knock people for thinking that Roy would win, he was a monster at 160.....but i think tommys boxing abillity would make the difference, he was outboxing leonard after all (till he got stopped atleast)

    heres some visual aids"...

Let me ask you this, how many people, in roys prime, were about to catch him leaping in with the hook and knocked him out?

    Thats right, zero

The hitman, as good as he is, is getting KTFO at 160. Pound for pound is an even money fight, but 160 is a bad weight and bad choice of oppoent for the hitman

Wrong, Toney and Hopkins would both likley beat Hearns at 160.

Height and reach does not = size, Jones was a huge MW Hearns was not small by any means.

For example if height and reach = size Hearns is bigger than Marciano, Tyson, Dempsey.

That Williams is bigger than Louis, bigger than Tua.

That Pavlik is bigger than a whole host of LHW's and HW's and clearly he is not.
Hearns is significantly down on speed and Jones was brilliant at avoiding and taking away Jabs.

Jones would hit Hearns with straight rights over the top of his jab regularly.

You cannot beat Jones at long range. Nobody even got close to touching Jones at range in his prime, due to his reflex's which btw are lightyears a head of Tommys and his significant speed advantage.

The fact he was outboxing Leonard has nothing to do with the fact he would not get close to outboxing Jones who gets hit much less than Ray did and hit much harder

Look Hearns is one of my favorite fighters, he is a great fighter, but he was too easy to hit and his chin was just a bit too fragile for him to beat the ATG fighters generally at their best weight class, despite the fact I think he would have won a Leonard rematch.

Hearns at MW is just not elite at all. Jones is very much elite

I want to thank some of the Glass Jaw Roy nuthuggers in this thread for giving me a lot of laughs this morning.

Some of the keyboard diarrhea you spew about Roy is classic.

What because I am a Roy Jones fan I cannot be objective?

Explain to me how Hearns beats Hopkins at 160 I would love to hear it.

Toney is another matter at 160 Hearns stylistically matches up quite well with him

If you want to be a tool then fine by me. ps notice how im not the only person saying this there may just be something to it :smooch

Jones has also NEVER been in a slug fest like he would be with Hearns. Oh, look who stopped Hearns and compare it with who Glass Jaw Roy was stopped by.

Also, compare Hearns level of competition in his career with that of Roy.

It is not even close on either count.

Glass Jaw Roy would be in a dog fight with Hearns and he would get knocked out.

Hearns got knocked out by Iran Barkley who then went on to lose his next three fights, including getting sparked by Benn. He then beat Hearns again and lost to a Jones victim in Toney, via domination.

Hearns fought and lost to some great fighters, he did lose however. :good
