Not a chance in hell, even though I'd pick him to win. Noone's out-boxing Hearns in that manner. Jones's best chance in this fight would be to use his speed and unorthodoxy to load up on big punches to catch Tommy cold with, rather than box. If he does that I could see Tommy holding the edge to be quite frank, with a higher likelihood of a KO going either way, though it'd be very interesting to watch.

I voted Hearns for some reason, even though I was meant to vote Jones. I was thinking Jones in my mind but just clicked Hearns.

160 is far from Hearns' best... Roy was a freak there.

The only major difference at 160 for Hearns in comparison to 147-154 was that his legs seemed to stiffen up, making him less mobile (his speed probably decreased a tad as well, but he was still very fast in terms of handspeed). Still just as skilled and dangerous from a stand-up position, where he'd likely attempt to control Jones from any weight.

I just think Jones's speed and unorthodoxy would allow him to land the big blow first, but I could see it going either way if I'm being honest. Not as clear-cut as everyone's making it out to be IMO.

I picked Hearns, but then I'd pick Hearns to bet anyone, anytime. He's my all time favourite fighter.

Jones would start favourite in this fight IMO, but there's no way it's the cake walk people on here are predicting.

And if Hearns fought the BHop that Jones fought (not the one that developed later), Hearns would win that easy.

I don't see how Toney beats him either. Can't see him stopping Hearns, can't see him outboxing him.
